Masters Degrees in Developmental & Reproductive Zoology

We have 25 Masters Degrees in Developmental & Reproductive Zoology

Masters degrees in Developmental & Reproductive Zoology provide advanced study of the reproductive processes within wild and exotic animals. You will gain an understanding of the biology of reproduction, from the functions of the reproductive organs in the male and female sexes, to fertilisation, embryo development and maturation of offspring. Some courses may also include scrutiny of animal behaviour in relation to mating patterns.

Why study a Masters in Developmental & Reproductive Zoology?

## Through practices in genetics and genomics, you will scrutinise the different cells, tissues and organs involved in animal reproduction, exploring the inheritance of traits as well as disorders and diseases. You will also assess the environmental factors which affect reproduction, such as how an animal’s habitat may affect mate selection and behaviour. Some courses may also give consideration to cross-species reproduction and the implications this holds. Your experience would particularly make you suitable for animal management in the form of zoo keeping, veterinary care, or involvement in breeding programmes. You may wish to focus specifically on improving the reproductive potential of endangered species, or developing new methods to assist animal reproduction.
