Our innovative teaching involves the latest in information communication technologies, traditional classes, self-directed study and collaborative groupwork. This is how we give you the blend of theory and skills you need to operate in today’s information industry.
The world is undergoing an information revolution. The explosion in information is transforming not only obvious areas such as libraries, information technology and learning and teaching, but every industry where information plays a major role …. and that is virtually all of them.
In industry and commerce, in education, in health, in government and the public sector, employees are needed to manage, organise and deliver huge amounts of information. Trained information professionals are at a premium, and our Department produces those professionals.
You can study for our courses either part time or full time, as suits you. We also offer variations on many of our courses to suit the previous qualifications and experience that you have. Whether you’re new to the field or an experienced professional looking to develop your career, we can structure your course to suit.
Where appropriate, our courses are fully accredited by the Chartered Institute for Library and Information Professionals (CILIP), allowing you to apply for the professional membership grades of the Institute when you graduate.
