Masters Degrees in Serology still available in 2026

We have 2 Masters Degrees in Serology still available in 2026

Masters degrees in Serology provide advanced postgraduate training in the study of serum (blood plasma) and other bodily fluids. An analysis of antibodies formed against infection - including responses to microorganisms, foreign proteins, or a host’s own proteins - is also a component, alongside study of reactions to substances. Related topics and postgraduate specialisms include Clinical Microbiology, Cell Biology and other branches of Medical and Health Sciences.

Why study a Masters in Serology?

## You will be trained in the design and implementation of serological tests to analyse the immune system’s reactions to pathogens (such as fungi, bacteria, viruses, and parasites), as well as drugs and other substances. Autoimmune responses are also a key component of most courses, with consideration given to autoimmunity and immunodeficiency disorders, inherited and acquired immunological disorders, and host reactions to the transplantation of organs and tissues. Your experience would make you suitable for traditional roles such as clinical serology, epidemiology, and pharmaceuticals, alongside more specialised careers such as forensic serology or veterinary serology. You could also branch into public health and public relations, such as roles in consultancy or policy-making for government agencies, charities, and NGOs.
