We have 11 Masters Degrees in Glass Crafts

Masters degrees in Glass Crafts provide advanced training in the use of glass for a variety of crafts, creating products for both aesthetic and practical purposes. Taught MA and practise-based MFA degrees are typical for the field, though research-based MRes and MPhil programmes are also available at some institutions. Entry requirements normally include an undergraduate degree in a relevant subject, such as Art or Design.

Why study a Masters in Glass Crafts?

## A Masters in Glass Crafts is extremely flexible, and often provides opportunities to work alongside other fields such as textiles, jewellery, metalwork and ceramics. You will develop your theoretical and practical approaches through a mixture of critical reading, observation, and the handling and design of products and craft artefacts. Practical training is provided in traditional techniques such as blowing, ladle casting and centrifuging, though contemporary approaches are also explored. Contextual research associated with your work and its field of enquiry, alongside reflective practise is also a large component. Traditional careers may include working as an independent practitioner, deigning and creating products such as jewellery, homeware, or artwork such as sculptures. Alternatively you could specialise in crystal ware or even stained glass conservation management.
