Why study a Masters in Accounting?
## A Masters in Accounting has obvious professional applications, with the opportunity to work as an accountant within a company's finance department, within an independent accountancy firm or as a self-employed freelancer. Note that most accountancy jobs will require an accredited Masters and registration as a chartered accountant. The actual practice of accountancy involves much more than simply recording and 'accounting' for financial incomings and outgoings. You could specialise in areas such as taxation, investment, payroll or a number of other areas. Opportunities also exist to work with a diverse range of orgranisations, from small businesses to global brands - all with their own needs and challenges. Postgraduate study in Accounting doesn't have to mean professional practice, either. The field of accountancy involves a rich theoretical element, with opportunities to pursue research and work with universities or other bodies.Refine your search
