Why study a Masters in Theatre Design?
## Courses in this field are highly creative and encourage you to explore creative processes of working with spaces, and developing them into places for theatre performance. You will explore theoretical and practical approaches to challenging audiences, making powerful images, and designing technically sound sets for a variety of performance types. Sketching ideas either through drawing or using digital techniques such as 3D modelling is key. Collaborations with others will be encouraged, from set designers to sound and lighting technicians, costume designers, choreographers and directors. To achieve this, you will be trained in several management techniques, particularly operations management, such as staff procurement, budgeting, scheduling and logistics. Careers in the field typically involve working directly with different theatre companies to develop their own theatre spaces. However, you may also work with architects with the sole purpose of building, developing or renovating theatre spaces.Light in Performance MA
