The Faculty of Life Sciences & Medicine is one of the largest and most successful centres for research and education in the UK, with extensive global partnerships. Research is at the very core of what we do and how we educate students. We are strategically aligned to King’s Health Partners, bringing together academics and clinicians who are committed to ensuring efficient translation and adoption of research innovation into daily clinical practice.
As a Faculty, we are proudly ranked 12th in the world for Life Sciences & Medicine, 20th in the world for Pharmacy and Pharmacology and 19th in the world for Anatomy and Physiology (QS World Rankings 2023). Additionally, we are 10th in the world for Clinical, Pre-Clinical and Health (Times Higher Education World Rankings 2023).
In the most recent Research Excellence Framework (REF2021) submission 93 per cent of our research overall was deemed either ‘world leading’ (4*) or ‘internationally excellent’ (3*).
