Israel’s Northern port city, Haifa, extends from the Mediterranean Sea to the slope of Mount Carmel, on top of which stands its very own university – the University of Haifa. Haifa is the third largest city in the country, an industrial and tourist centre with scenic sites, gardens and beaches.
What's it like to study a Masters in Haifa?
During Haifa’s 3,000 years of history, the city passed under the rule of a number of different civilisations, including the Byzantines, the Romans, the Crusaders, the Ottomans and others. Built in 1868 by German Templers, this part of the city is marked by a number of restored buildings, shops, cafes, restaurants and bars, making it the centre of Haifa’s contemporary nightlife.

Universities in Haifa
Haifa’s population of approximately 32,000 students attend one of the two universities in the city.
The University of Haifa was established in 1963, at the top of Mount Carmel, overlooking the city. As a student here, you will not only have the opportunity to learn at a premier higher education institution, but also enjoy the stunning view of Haifa and the Mediterranean. The University of Haifa boasts number of English-taught courses for its over 1,000 overseas students.
The history of Technion, Israel’s Institute of Technology, dates as far back as 1912. A global research university, it offers various programmes for international students.
Although Hebrew is Israel’s official language, English is widely spoken among the population, making it easy to be integrated into the community.
