It's a fantastic course that will develop any professional, with or without experience to secure positions and develop careers in ways that no other course can do in just a year.

The initial days were really challenging for a non-IT person like me, but the course structure is strategically designed that it gradually and steadily reinforces knowledge and self-confidence. Throughout the course, I received incredible support from my professors, classmates and other RGU staff. The facilities are outstanding and include computer labs, a well-resourced library, a student help point and an excellent sports centre, just to name a few.

I highly recommend this course to anyone who wants a career change or looking to advance their career.

The School provides great opportunities on how to learn to communicate with the private and public domain and work as a team. Through lectures and studio time, we are discovering for whom we are designing, responding to the client and presenting to audiences. It’s not just about ideas, it’s not just about design, it’s about making ideas happen.

I’ve benefited immensely from the program, not only in terms of knowledge gained but in new areas of practice developed, such as, my international oil and gas practice in arbitration – a fast-growing practice area in Africa. The course provided a unique blend of two areas of law that are relevant in the practice of law, particularly for oil and gas dispute.

Gray’s School of Art has great facilities and is in a great location with fantastic surroundings. I found the course to be an excellent pathway for gaining employment in the oil and gas industry. I feel I developed at a fast rate and gained valuable commercial and transferable skills.

The greatest highlight of the course is being in the studio most days of the week working on a variety of projects that are both interesting and challenging. This course has built on my existing oil industry negotiating experience and enhanced my CV by providing the theoretical legal background to the dispute resolution techniques I wish to employ in the future. This has been supplemented by useful exposure associated with the external industry meetings and discussions I have had as part of my dissertation.

I’m Chiamaka! I'm a physiotherapy student at RGU, and I enjoy learning how movement and health intersect and using that knowledge to help people regain their quality of life. RGU is excellent at balancing expertise with its application in practical ways. Uni life is intense with classes and placements, but with friends and the many things to do in the city, it is gratifying. If you’re thinking about studying physiotherapy, feel free to message me!

The master's course was perfectly pitched and positioned to enable me to learn. Truly learn! Not about creativity – that you cannot teach – but to learn about learning, to learn how to reflect, and to learn to embrace my method of understanding and development. There’s a lot of practical learning and we’re out in placement quite early in our degree compared to those doing similar courses at other universities. Being able to apply things so soon after learning about them in the classroom is very beneficial to learning and great experience.

The accreditation is a recognition of the quality of teaching... Each course lends itself to a slightly different style and that is very useful because in your working life you will encounter different styles and you will need to be able to adjust to manage those.

I'm pretty much a chill guy who loves the planet and is studying, reading, acting, and speaking up in a bid to end climate change. Plus, I love anything that gets my adrenaline up. I love running, climbing, reading, and my sleep (can't forget your beauty sleep)

The program strives in every way to bridge the gap between taught theory and real-life practice. The class is interested in many different industries, and equips us for our next career steps, learning to think critically and creatively in any project situation instead of just applying a formula. I’ve gained practical experience through one internship, where I worked on interior design, drawings, 3D modelling, and presentations. I enjoy combining creativity with technical design skills and I’m always trying to learn more and take on new challenges. In the future, I would love to travel around the world to explore architecture and different cultures and I hope to work in a design-focused architecture practice where I can create meaningful, human-centered spaces.

"The best thing I've found about my course, so far, is being able to actually look at massive amounts of data and be able to extract value from that. So instead of just looking at a bunch of numbers, a bunch of text, I'm actually able to see potential patterns and actually be able to figure out what's happening with that data."

What I find most enjoyable about studying at Gray’s School of Art is the atmosphere. It is like an extended family. The MSc helped to equip me with a wealth of knowledge and skills which can be transferred into real life. I was lucky enough to be in a diverse class with students from Africa, Singapore, and other parts of UK. It was amazing to hear how everyone could relate to the theory and case studies so differently due to the variation in life and work experiences. This also helped to consolidate that everyone will experience situations differently due to social determinants and past experience.
