Here at UCD Innovation Academy, we believe that to solve humanity’s greatest challenges people need to work together across all disciplines and to look at the world differently. The world is changing at an unparalleled rate and many of our students will go on to work in jobs that don’t yet exist. As educators, we feel a responsibility to develop graduates with an entrepreneurial mindset and the resilience to adapt. Through experiential learning, we help people from all walks of life to transform their mindsets and develop future-forward skills. Our alumni go on to accelerate their careers and change the world, either from within their organisations or as entrepreneurs and social entrepreneurs. We design learning experiences in partnership with industry leaders, to give our students the key skills they need: Creativity, Entrepreneurial Mindset, Critical Thinking, Resilience, Collaboration and Leadership.

UCD Innovation Academy sits at the cutting-edge of education in Ireland, and the world. Our mission is to provide a transformational educational experience for the betterment of society, the economy, and the planet.

We’ve been challenging students to see the world differently since 2010, when we became one of the first universities to offer experiential learning experiences. Our team has been innovating ever since, shaping and refining our courses with input from some of the world’s best.

Students at UCD Innovation Academy have access to the latest technology to support their creativity. The IA MakerSpace provides a playground for innovation, testing, and prototyping to bring your ideas to life. UCD Greenacre is UCD’s new experiential sustainability hub, located on an acre of UCD’s woodland campus in Belfield. A first of its kind in Ireland, it offers immersive, hands-on sustainability experiences for students to explore, experiment and learn how to take meaningful actions for a sustainable planet.
