The University of Edinburgh Business School
The University of Edinburgh Business School enjoys a long tradition of teaching and research, opening the doors to our first cohort of students in October 1919. In addition to Undergraduate and Executive Education programmes in business and finance, the School offers a broad portfolio of postgraduate taught Masters, covering general and specialised management disciplines.
A triple-accredited Business School based within a university ranked 20th in the QS World University Rankings 2021, our graduates are highly sought after. We seek to balance academic theory with the latest industry practice and a robust approach to career support. Students embark on a personal and professional development journey embedded within a coaching culture and tailored to their needs, helping them build critical skills and networks.
We attract 650+ postgraduate students each year from across the globe which allows for a culturally diverse learning experience within a close-knit community of faculty and student support staff. Our close industry connections give real-life learning opportunities through guest-speaker events, treks, consultancy projects and company-sponsored dissertations.
Like many business schools, we are committed to developing tomorrow’s business leaders. But what really drives us is helping students play to their strengths, add to them, and develop strong relationships that will open up the world to them. These relationships are fostered across the cohort, who come from diverse backgrounds, cultures and professions and provide the beginnings of an international network. In Edinburgh students experience this global melting pot in a compact, friendly, safe city known for its striking architecture, intellectual legacy and festival culture.
