As one of Europe’s oldest and largest universities (dating from 1365), the University of Vienna is Austria’s most renowned institution and ranks within the top 200 of all three league tables.

Some of Austria’s other most prominent universities are more specialised, focussing in subjects such as Medicine and Technology. This can limit their visibility in overall rankings, but that shouldn’t put you off exploring what they have to offer at postgraduate level.
