These awards recognise exceptional candidates whose achievements, experience and perspectives will make a distinctive contribution to the Oxford Executive MBA.
Reflecting the programme’s commitment to excellence and diversity, the awards help bring together accomplished leaders from different industries, geographies and professional backgrounds, enriching the experience of the whole cohort and extending its potential for wider impact.
All Executive MBA applicants are eligible for consideration.
We’ll consider:
- Excellence: your academic and/or professional achievements.
- Contribution to the cohort: how your experience and perspectives could enhance the diversity of the class and enrich the learning of others.
- Future impact: how you could use your Executive MBA experience to make a wider, long-term impact in your sector, community or region.
We’re particularly interested in candidates who bring perspectives and experiences that may be less commonly represented in an Executive MBA classroom. This could include experience in emerging markets, or a non-traditional professional background, such as the voluntary and charitable sector, international organisations or the military.
You only need to submit one funding statement. We’ll consider your statement alongside your Executive MBA application when assessing you for all scholarships for which you are eligible and which require a funding statement.
You do not need to address the selection criteria for individual scholarships separately.
Funding statement
Tell us something we would not otherwise learn from your Executive MBA application that you would like us to consider when assessing you for scholarship funding.
Using one or two specific examples, describe an experience, achievement or commitment that has shaped the leader you are today. What did you do, what did you learn, and how has it influenced the contribution or impact you have made or hope to make in the future?
Maximum 400 words
We value specificity and reflection over polished prose. We want to understand your individual experience, in your own voice. Please avoid repeating information already included elsewhere in your application.
Director’s Awards are available at every admissions stage, so there is no separate scholarship deadline.
Your complete Executive MBA application, including all required supporting materials, must reach us by your chosen admissions stage deadline.
We encourage you to apply at an earlier stage, where possible. This can give you a wider choice of colleges and more opportunities to be considered for scholarship funding.
