The University of Westminster International Postgraduate Excellence Award is designed to support high-achieving international students who have demonstrated academic excellence and passion for their chosen field of study. The award provides financial support towards tuition fees for eligible students beginning a full-time Master’s degree in January 2027.
Successful applicants studying a one-year full-time Master’s course will receive £3,000 towards their tuition fees. Students taking a two-year Master’s with Integrated Professional Year Experience programme will receive £5,000. The scholarship cannot be used towards the £5,500 deposit payment required to secure a CAS (Confirmation of Acceptance for Studies) for a student visa.
To apply, applicants must be classified as having overseas fee status and hold an offer for a full-time Master’s course starting in January 2027 at the University. Applicants must also have a minimum UK-equivalent Good 2.1 Honours Degree. Selection is principally based on academic excellence. International applicants can consult the University’s country-specific information and overseas academic qualifications equivalency guidance to determine whether their qualification meets the required academic standard.
Applicants are not eligible for the award if they are applying for a professional course such as RIBA Part III; a doctoral programme; an online or distance-learning course; or a Postgraduate Certificate or Postgraduate Diploma. Applicants are also ineligible if they qualify for another discount on their course fees, including an alumni discount or partner student discount. Students seeking funding for research degrees such as an MPhil or PhD should instead consult the research funding information on the University’s website.
The application deadline is 30 November 2026. The number of scholarships available is variable. Prospective applicants should read the University’s full scholarship terms and conditions and check their eligibility carefully before submitting an application.
