Scholarship details
- Value: 20% reduction on the tuition fees (up to maximum 4 modules).
- Number offered: Two scholarships are awarded each semester/Trimester.
- Closing date: One month prior to the start date of the programme.
- Applicable to: Women applying to study an ECT Bachelor’s and Master’s degree.
- Delivery: Online.
Alison Brown 1960-2024 worked as a course advisor in our UK office for 25 years. Her professionalism, enthusiasm and energy were inspiring and infectious. Among other things she assisted engineering students with decisions around further learning, including programmes for professional development, and selecting the most suitable formal qualifications. She assisted many students through their application processes.
Alison noted:
“Engineers by nature have to learn new concepts and technologies in order to develop their careers and keep up with progress within the industry.”
This scholarship is offered, in her honour, to assist women in engineering.
To be eligible for this scholarship, applicants must meet all of the following criteria:
Applicants must be of the female sex, in accordance with the Equality Act 2010 positive action provisions, and must be commencing an ECT Higher Education Bachelor’s or Master’s programme. Applicants must also meet or exceed the English Language Proficiency requirements and all other entry requirements for their chosen programme.
To apply, applicants must complete and submit the Scholarship Application Form on the website alongside their programme application. Applicants are also required to provide a 500-word statement explaining how the skills and knowledge gained through their degree will support their career development and benefit their community.
All scholarship applications will be reviewed by the selection committee, with decisions based on the information provided in the application form and supporting statement.
Applicants who have already submitted their programme application may still apply for the scholarship by completing the Scholarship Application Form before the scholarship closing date.
