Scholarship details
Please note, this scholarship is available for students registered for online programmes and on campus programmes delivered at our Aberdeen campus.
A special ‘loyalty discount’ of 20% off the cost of any element of self funded graduate study is available to University of Aberdeen graduates who wish to undertake further study at the University of Aberdeen. The discount applies to a range of taught graduate programmes (Masters, Diploma, Certificate and Short Course), and the year one of a full time research programme (years one and two for part time research students). It is available to both UK/EU and International students.
To be eligible for the Aberdeen Alumni Discount, applicants must:
hold a degree from the University of Aberdeen (undergraduate or postgraduate - those who have studied a certificate or Diploma are not eligible), or have studied for a period as an International Exchange, Study Abroad or Erasmus student at the University of Aberdeen and be applying for graduate study.
be self-funded (not in receipt of another tuition fee scholarship).
be applying for an eligible postgraduate programme.
The discount is for new students and cannot be applied for retrospectively, after a student has commenced their study. Applicants classed as either Home, RUK or International for fees purposes are eligible for this discount. The discount applies only to any aspect of fees that may need to be self funded and not covered by additional funding.
The following programmes are eligible for the Aberdeen Alumni Discount:
MBA programmes (excluding the MBA International Business Management pathway)
Physician Associate Studies
All online taught postgraduate programmes and short courses
The first year of the full time Accelerated LLB, or the first two years of the part time version
The first year of a full time research degree, or the first two years of a part time one.
MBChB Students who are undertaking a Taught or Research Postgraduate Masters programme as part of their Intercalating year are also eligible for the discount.
