International Trade Law (Online) allows you to fit the programme around your life and it offers you flexibility to study internationally without leaving your country. The programme covers the essential areas of law within the context of international business and trade to allow you to apply legal requirements across the supply chain globally.

The programme is slightly different to the campus course as it is specific to the essential aspects of international trade. There is always a demand for high level analytical skills within business to allow for strategic planning and navigate the complex areas of negotiation, sale of goods contracts, finance, GATT and any other agreements to allow for global trade to run smoothly. International Trade Law is in the spotlight currently due to UK negotiations with the EU and globally about the progression of trade when it exits the EU and the potential challenges that business may face in light of new regulations, tariffs and changes to contracts in order to continue trading.

You gain from a highly skilled range of academics and practicing legal experts with research at international level and the longevity of a School where Law has been taught at Aberdeen since the Middle Ages. The School of Law offers a range of centres and groups which include: the Centre for Private International Law amongst others. Groups which are relevant to international trade are: Commercial Law and Intellectual Property, Public International Law and Public Law and Legal Theory. The School and University benefit from being in the heart of the energy industry at a major global hub in Aberdeen and further offer expertise in energy and environmental law and other areas of international law.
