Scholarship details
The University of Huddersfield values its alumni and is pleased to offer an exclusive 10% Alumni Discount to assist with the cost of taught Master’s level study.
Our Alumni Discount is a 10% reduction off the annual tuition fees on full-time and part-time taught Master’s level degrees only. This discount applies to home students on eligible courses. If you are an international student, please see our international fees and funding page for details of international scholarships available to eligible students.
For students on taught Distance Learning Master's courses, the alumni discount applies to both home and international domiciled students.
For students studying on a part-time basis, the 10% Alumni Discount will only apply in Years 1 and 2 of study.
The 10% Alumni Discount will not apply to any study years involving resits/repeats of modules.
Once the 10% Alumni Discount is granted, it will apply for the duration of your course.
To be eligible for the 10% Alumni Discount you must:
Become a registered student on a certified taught Master’s level degree programme at the University of Huddersfield. The majority of programmes qualify for the discount but please check the exception list below.
and
Be a graduate of the University of Huddersfield having achieved an Honours award at Level 6 (Degree level).
and
Be a home student. International students can explore our international scholarship opportunities, where eligible.
The following postgraduate programmes are not eligible for the 10% Alumni Discount:
Postgraduate study which does not lead to a full, certified Master’s level degree qualification, including Postgraduate Diplomas, Postgraduate Certificates or any postgraduate study that leads to credit only.
Professional study which may include some postgraduate level study but overall is determined to be at undergraduate level and for which undergraduate fees are charged. This includes:
Courses funded by the Department of Health
Teacher training programmes
MArch (Master’s in Architecture)
You do not need to complete a separate application form for the Alumni Discount. The discount will be automatically applied on the basis of information on your postgraduate application and your undergraduate student record.
You will not be separately notified of your discount but if you are eligible your tuition fee liability will be reduced by 10%.
