Our Engineering and Science Graduate Centre provides friendship, support, training and careers advice for all postgraduates. It also provides training for work placements and interviews.
The department was ranked as one of the top 10 chemical engineering departments in the UK by The Guardian University Guide 2016 and 6th in the UK for chemical engineering by QS World University Rankings by Subject 2016.
Students are supported by a team of engineers and scientists with extensive teaching and industrial experience, providing a hands-on approach in extensive laboratory facilities, which include a suite of analytical equipment and advanced material characterisation facilities. Industry engagement and industrial placements are key features of our courses.
The department hosts energy efficiency, nanotechnology, sustainable processing and advanced manufacturing technology, as well as a process simulation and design facility.
