The University of Cambridge Institute for Sustainability Leadership (CISL) is an impact-led institute within the University of Cambridge that activates leadership globally to transform economies for people, nature and climate. For over three decades, CISL has been at the forefront of sustainability education, with specific expertise in convening groups of leaders to help them understand and respond to the most significant challenges facing their organisations and the world today. CISL runs accredited postgraduate programmes, 8 week online courses and Executive Education programmes. Designed for those working in full-time employment, CISL’s postgraduate programmes blend residential workshops and online learning. The postgraduate programmes work with existing and emerging leaders who want to contribute to the change towards better systems and markets, who want to develop leadership skills that are future-fit and who want to use that as a springboard for future career opportunities. CISL’s programmes equip students with the latest insights, deep industry expertise from our faculty and industry and academic speakers. With over 30 years of experience, CISL now has an alumni of more than 40,000 leaders who have participated in our activities. Alumni are invited to join the Cambridge Sustainability Network, which provides a resources and networking opportunities to generate new ideas and continue their learning. A specific Postgraduate Alumni Council and a regular alumni newsletter sharing alumni news and achievements keep our community of over 2000 postgraduate alumni community in the loop.
