What’s it like to study a Masters in Belfast?

Belfast has a long and varied history as one of the most important cities in Ireland. It was a pre-eminent site for shipbuilding during much of the 19th and 20th centuries, being chosen to construct the RMS Titanic along with many other famous vessels. Following the 1921 partitioning of Ireland, Belfast became the administrative centre of Northern Ireland.

Whilst studying a Masters in Belfast you’ll live in one of the UK’s most visited cities with a selection of acclaimed national museums, art galleries and theatres. You can explore the tragic story of the doomed passenger liner at the Titanic Belfast, an acclaimed museum located in the former shipyard where the vessel was built. The oldest university in Belfast is Queen’s University Belfast (QUB), which was established in 1845, but traces its origins to 1810. It is a member of the Russell Group of leading UK research universities and is usually ranked in the top 50 universities in the UK. Belfast is also home to campuses of the University of Ulster.
