Spanish Masters degrees usually last between one and two years, depending on the qualification in question and the content of the programme. The Spanish academic year normally runs between October and June.

How much does it cost to study a Masters in Spain?

Postgraduate fees in Spain are usually charged on a 'per credit' basis, with each credit reflecting around ten hours of teaching. Rates are regulated by the government, but typical costs for a full programme are between €1,500 and €3,600 for a 60 ECTS credit course and between €3,000 and €7,200 for a 120 ECTS credit course. Students from outside the EU and EEA may be charged slightly more.

Are Spanish Masters degrees taught in English?

An increasing number of Masters degrees in Spain are taught in English, but Spanish language training is usually offered by universities in order to help international students integrate and make the most of their time in the country.

Will I need a visa to study a Masters in Spain?

EU and EEA citizens can study in Spain without restriction, subject to registration with local authorities in the country. Other international applicants will need to apply for a type-D student visa in advance.
