University of Aberdeen
Founded in 1495, the University of Aberdeen is the fifth oldest University in the UK and is home to a diverse community of over 14,000 students from more than 130 different countries. We are ranked 3rd in Scotland and Top 20 in the UK in the Guardian University Guide 2026. At the forefront of change and discovery for over 530 years, the University of Aberdeen has a proud history of teaching and research excellence, and has been awarded the prestigious Queen’s Anniversary Prize - the highest honour for UK further and higher education - on two occasions.
