We have 2 Masters Degrees in Childcare still available for January start in 2027

Masters degrees in Childcare train postgraduates in how to care for infants and young children, from sixteen weeks to approximately 13 years. Programmes cover a variety of care provisions, from child minding to day-care centres, and may include the ability to specialise in caring for vulnerable children. Related postgraduate specialisms include Child Health & Social Care and Childhood Practice. Entry requirements typically include an appropriate undergraduate degree such as Childhood Studies, Social Work or Social Science.

Why study a Masters in Childcare?

## On one of these courses, you’ll learn to work with a range of children, families and other care providers, studying how to offer support to young children in several contexts. Depending on your interests, you may choose to work with children who suffer from disability and illness, or those in vulnerable settings. For example, you might explore service provision such as community welfare and social care, whereby professionals support disadvantaged children and families within the community. You might also explore other settings such as children’s homes, foster homes, rehabilitation units or juvenile correction centres. As well as the careers mentioned above, you could also find work within public administration or humanitarian aid, to name a couple of possibilities.
