Flexible learning

At Coventry University, you don’t have to put your life on hold for courses that only start in September. You can start studying at Coventry in January, May or September. You could even study online, meaning your start date works around your life, job and ambitions.

Our 'flexible learning' ethos means we can offer our students the chance to study in Coventry, Scarborough, in the heart of London or 100 per cent online. We offer taught and research-based master's courses, as well as PhDs, that can help take your education and career to the next level.


Employability is embedded throughout our courses, with real-world teaching, lecturers from industry, and the Professional Development module which is available on most of our master’s courses. This module is accredited by the Chartered Management Institute (CMI).

Coventry School of Art and Design has an excellent reputation for its research and related postgraduate study activities. It has consistently scored highly in the national research assessment exercises and has an international reputation for areas of its design research and art practice. Staff responsible for developing and delivering our postgraduate programmes of study are leaders in their fields and many are noted for their media and digitally related work, some of which receives international acclaim.

Our artists exhibit and perform worldwide in professional venues, our designers are commissioned by leading companies and deliver publicly funded consultancy services. Our postgraduate provision comprises a range of taught masters degree courses. Students come form all over the world to carry out individual research projects, which lead to Master of Philosophy (MPhil) or doctorate (PhD) awards, under the supervision of our specialist staff.

Programme List:

The Faculty of Engineering, Environment and Computing is a large applied scientific and technological centre for learning and research. Activities range from mathematics to civil engineering and building, computer science to mechanical engineering, engineering and knowledge management to aerospace, to name a few.
September 2012 saw the opening of the new £55 million centre for the Faculty of Engineering, Environment and Computing. The building is innovative inside and out, using a range of technologies including rainwater harvesting, solar thermal energy and biomass boilers.
Internally, the space provides a completely fresh approach to support new ways of learning.
