About York St John University

The 11-acre site is in a beautiful setting facing the world-famous York Minster, where our students graduate. Recently named one of the Top 10 Friendliest Places in the world by Booking.com, York is a city buzzing with culture and nightlife. It is home to a diverse mix of festivals throughout the year, a great and inclusive arts scene, as well as plenty of museums and galleries. With a huge variety of pubs (over 365!), clubs, bars and independent restaurants, you are sure to have a great time living and studying in York.

Over the last ten years, we have invested a lot in buildings and facilities across the University. Recent developments include our Nursing simulated hospital ward building, complete with professional standard medical equipment. We have recently opened our Creative Centre, which includes recording studios, computer science facilities, a flexible teaching space and a 170-seat auditorium theatre space.

We understand the specific challenges of postgraduate study, and our dedicated Graduate Centre provides specialised study space for you to focus on your studies in addition to our Learning Centre, which is open 24 hours a day.

On our campus, you will find:
