The British Psychotherapy Foundation offers a full path to becoming a qualified psychotherapist, from introductory and pre-qualification courses, through to postgraduate training in Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy, Jungian Analysis and Child and Adolescent Psychotherapy.

We are renowned for offering some of the most rigorous and comprehensive psychotherapy courses in the UK, and we pride ourselves upon the extensive support and guidance we offer to every bpf student. To ensure accessibility to as many people as possible nationwide, our courses are delivered through a combination of in-person and online teaching.

As the BPF is also a membership organisation for psychotherapists, students that study with us have the unique opportunity to network with current professionals, receive career advice, get involved in the latest research, and attend our exciting roster of members-only events. Students will also benefit from the support of our Clinical Services department, which assigns clients looking for low-fee psychotherapy to trainees.

Student Life

Our teaching facilities are located in a beautiful listed building that is walking distance from Kilburn tube station. We have several teaching rooms, along with a well-stocked library of psychoanalytic/Jungian texts. Students will also have access to a wide variety of online resources, as well as our own publication: British Journal of Psychotherapy.

As a student, you will work in small, intimate groups to ensure you receive extensive support as you develop your identity as a practitioner. All our students gain access to our exciting roster of bpf events, as well as receiving unparalleled career support and networking opportunities.

Funding

Our postgraduate courses are eligible for Postgraduate Loans or can be paid in instalments.
