Along with a site in the centre of Wolverhampton, there are also campuses located in Telford, Walsall and Springfield.

Faculty of Arts, Business and Social Sciences

Offering a wide range of undergraduate and postgraduate courses, the Faculty’s teaching excellence, innovative learning materials and first-class facilities create a vibrant and stimulating learning environment, allowing you to develop personally and professionally.

Faculty of Education, Health and Well-being

The Faculty brings together four Institutes specialising in subject areas headed up by academic staff who are experts in their fields, with many courses accredited by recognised professional bodies. The Faculty’s outstanding facilities include the multi-million pound Sports Centre and advanced, purpose-built healthcare and teacher training buildings.

Faculty of Science and Engineering

With a rich and long history of technology, teaching and local skills provision, the Faculty of Science and Engineering is committed to growing its base in science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) and works closely with leading companies such as Morgan, Jaguar Land Rover, Moog and UTC Aerospace Systems.

The University offers a wide range of taught and research degrees at postgraduate level and boasts a number of research institutes and research centres that work closely alongside industry experts.

World-leading research

In the most recent Research Excellence Framework exercise, the University achieved its best results. In REF2021 the University of Wolverhampton has significantly grown its research and submitted 4 new subject areas and 75% more staff than in REF2014. The results show that more than half of our research is judged as internationally excellent (3*) and world-leading (4*).

The research culture at the University of Wolverhampton is among the best in the country, according to a national survey of postgraduate students. The Postgraduate Research Experience Survey is a national survey run by Advance HE to gather information about the experience of any research student on a doctoral or research master’s course. The survey focuses on postgraduate students’ experiences of their supervision, resources, the research community, progress and assessment and also wellbeing. The findings highlight a strong research culture at the University of Wolverhampton, with satisfaction with this ranked at 5th out of the 89 institutions that took part. The results also showed the University was 11th for professional development and 12th for research supervision.

Commended by the Quality Assurance Agency (QAA)

We have been commended by the QAA for the 'enhancement of student learning opportunities' in our most recent assessment. The QAA reviews standards within universities in the UK, so you can be assured of our commitment to quality.

Modern facilities

Current state-of-the-art facilities include a gym, complete with a 12-court sports hall and swimming pool, a café and juice bar, IT hubs and social spaces. Over the next few years, the University will be generating £250 million of investment into even more facilities.
