West University of Timișoara (in Romanian: Universitatea de Vest din Timișoara) is one of Romania’s most prestigious higher education institutions, established in 1944 by Royal Decree. As a comprehensive university, WUT has 12 faculties and offers study programmes across a wide range of academic fields, from exact sciences and technology to arts, social sciences and humanities. The university offers a dynamic academic environment with study programmes at Bachelor’s, Master’s and Doctoral levels, including a wide range of programmes fully taught in English, French or German, some of which provide double or multiple degree opportunities. Students benefit from modern campus facilities, including a canteen, student accommodation, access to university and faculty libraries, modern study and learning spaces, sports facilities, as well as access to academic and psychological counselling services.
