Scholarships and Discounts
The North East Postgraduate Discount aims to support the north-east region in its response to the current cost-of-living challenges through the provision of affordable opportunities for individuals to upskill and boost their career opportunities. We are offering a fee waiver of 20% on the full cost of course fees for postgraduate taught masters programmes of study including MA, MSc, LLM, MBA. The discount is for students impacted by cost-of-living challenges who have a local connection to the north-east region. This includes anyone who has graduated with an undergraduate degree from any university in the north-east in academic years 2020/21, 2021/22, or 2022/23.
If you are a University of Sunderland graduate you will receive 20% off your tuition fee if you return to study an eligible postgraduate course with us.
All international students studying a taught, postgraduate course will benefit from a £900 scholarship in the form of a tuition fee discount which is automatically deducted. International research degree students are awarded a £1,400 discount.
