Whatever you are hoping to get from your university experience, Herts provides the perfect environment in which you can learn, develop your skills and, above all, have a great time. We continually enhance our facilities to support our growing community, offering exceptional study, social, and support spaces that enrich the student experience.
We have two campuses in Hatfield, Hertfordshire - just north of London and with easy access via train, bus or car. Arriving from London King’s Cross to Hatfield by train only takes 25 minutes and both campuses are easily accessible via the A1 (M). We have our very own Uno bus service offering discounted fares to Herts students and we have a free cycle hire scheme for all students.
You can enjoy the ultimate student experience by living on one of our two conveniently situated campuses. Our accommodation has been created to provide you with comfortable and cost-effective options, allowing you to fully focus on studying and making lifelong friendships while you’re here! There’s plenty to in and around Hatfield, with excellent transport connections, whether you enjoy shopping for your favourite brands or exploring the local parks, you can have fun planning days out during your time at Herts. Discover life at Herts here.
We’ve invested £250m in cutting-edge facilities across our campuses, most recently Spectra, our state-of-the-art building, where you’ll experience a range of experiential learning zones. You will have access to modelling, simulation and research labs, our Merlin Flight Simulator and automotive workshop (complete with electric vehicle facility), wind tunnel, welding bay and controls testing suite. Spectra also provides space to collaborate, with plenty of workshops, social and meeting spaces available. Even better, the building has been designed with the University’s net zero carbon target in mind, and forms part of our plan to replace or upgrade older sites that are energy inefficient.
Explore both campuses, with 360-degree views of our facilities, accommodation, and social spaces. Find out more about postgraduate life at the University of Hertfordshire by viewing our virtual experience where you can virtually explore our campuses.
