We've been helping students find the right postgraduate course for over a decade.
We work with thousands of organisations, from HSBC to the NHS, and these industry partners help design our courses and give you the experience and contacts you need to make your CV stand out to future employers. Many of our courses are accredited by professional associations and bodies.
Our students benefit from access to our world-class facilities. We’re constantly updating and adding to the facilities you’ll use, with £72 million invested in new buildings since 2014. This means 24-hour libraries, student-designed study areas, excellent sports facilities and the same equipment you’ll find in your future workplace, whether it’s an aeroplane manufacturer, a software engineering company or a hospital.
72% of our research is rated internationally excellent or world leading. Read more about the REF case studies which helped us to earn this prestigious rating.
We pride ourselves on the excellence of our teaching - and the way we prepare you for your career. This is highlighted by our exciting news of being awarded The Times and The Sunday Times University of the Year for Teaching Quality 2020.
The award recognises our consistently high student satisfaction scores, as measured by the independent National Student Survey (NSS) - we're in the top 30 in the country for student satisfaction.
In 2019 we achieved an overall score of 86% - our highest ever. Nearly 50 of our courses achieved an overall satisfaction score of more than 90%, and 10 courses scored 100%.
We have also been awarded five stars in the latest QS Stars international rating system. QS Stars provides a detailed look at higher education institutions across the world, focusing on specific topics such as teaching strength, graduate employability, research strength, inclusiveness and innovation.
We achieved an overall five-star rating and we were given the top mark in six of the eight categories including teaching, employability, facilities, innovation, inclusiveness and in the specialist category of Hospitality and Leisure Management.
