Students’ Union (SU)
Run by students, for students, the SU champions your interests and creates a vibrant social and support network. From hosting exciting events to offering advice and representation, the SU plays a central role in campus life and every SOAS student is automatically a member. With over 100 student societies and sports teams, there’s something for everyone. Whether you’re into Anime, Feminism, Yoga, Football, Origami, Chinese Percussion, or Brazilian Ju-Jitsu, or want to explore cultural, political or religious groups, the SU makes it easy to connect with others who share your passions. You can even get involved with the student newspaper or start your own society.
Sport and fitness
Stay active whether you're looking to play sports competitively or just for fun, you can join SU sports teams, get involved with University of London clubs, and make the most of Bloomsbury Fitness Gym, just a short walk from campus.
Working while studying
There are plenty of opportunities to work on campus and beyond. We offer a range of part-time work opportunities on campus, from roles in our cafés and SU shop to student ambassador positions at events or online. Beyond campus, London is full of options, and our Careers Service is on hand to help you find something that fits your schedule and goals.
