University of London, School of Advanced Study

London  United Kingdom

The School of Advanced Study is the UK's national centre for the support and promotion of academic research in the humanities. We are home to specialist institutes and centres that have a rich, interdisciplinary environment for researchers to collaborate on questions of society, culture, economy and the environment. With a range of postgraduate programmes to choose from, students analyse these complex problems through the arts and humanities - considering the significance of factors such as history, culture, language and identity - to help us to make sense of them.

Why study at the University of London, School of Advanced Study?

We train the next generation of humanities researchers and devise innovative methods for new discoveries, while connecting humanities researchers and practitioners across disciplines and sectors, nationally and globally.

You'll benefit from the School’s collaborative research environment, specialist libraries, and opportunities to participate in an extensive programme of events. You can also attend or present at one of our numerous research seminar series.

Our research training programme draws on the extensive research and teaching expertise of staff at SAS and the University of London. We offer both subject-specific training and courses on the tools you'll need to complete your research effectively.
