Studying at Roehampton

Facilities
We want to make sure your experience prepares you for today’s job market. Our campus is equipped with extensive facilities to enable you to get the most out of your postgraduate studies, including purpose-built teaching rooms and modern seminar spaces. We have a range of specialist facilities including professional studios and theatres for dance and drama, a media centre that houses editing suites for film, photography and media, newsrooms and a cinema, and state-of-the-art specialist science laboratories.

Library
Our library contains over 1,200 study spaces and hundreds of thousands of books across nearly 8,000 metres of shelving. The library offers online access to academic journals, databases and an extensive e-book collection, a dedicated collection for Education students, silent study rooms on the top floor overlooking the lake, and dedicated spaces for postgraduate and research students.
Support
Starting a postgraduate course can be daunting, so we support you from the moment you arrive. You will be assigned a personal tutor who will provide you with academic advice. In addition, you will have access to a wide range of free, personalised services, such as welfare advice, counselling, specialist mental health support, a chaplaincy service and an onsite medical centre. We also provide a wide range of support for people with disabilities and dyslexia.

Social life
Our departments offer a range of activities and events from symposiums and conferences to lectures by guest speakers. Our Students’ Union hosts a calendar of social events offering you the chance to play sport or music, gain useful skills and meet and socialise with new people whether you are on-campus or studying remotely.
