I had recently at just Graduated for my BA in Early Childhood Studies. I wanted to further my knowledge and experience and progress to enable my setting to benefit from my knowledge.

Birmingham Newman University has been my home for 4 years prior to enrolling for my Masters in Education, the warm and inviting atmosphere has encouraged me to learn, feel valued and part of the community.

I have worked in my amazing family run early years setting for over 20 years, being promoted to manager and working with my mother and daughter and learning the ropes to continue with our amazing nursery. I have taken on many roles throughout my career and have already benefited from my Birmingham Newman University studies, working more collaboratively with parent partnerships and building strong foundations for children. Completing my Masters would build my knowledge further, being able to dig deeper into underpinning journal articles and finding new ways to critically analyse documents to guide ways of thinking for the best outcomes for the setting.

I enjoy attending university, I feel welcomed and valued and I love getting involved in discussions and debates to further my knowledge. I feel University is now a big part of my life and don’t want it to end.
