Our campus is perfectly placed for you to enjoy Manchester, a city world-renowned for its friendly, cosmopolitan and creative energy. The city that was once at the forefront of the Industrial Revolution is today the UK’s largest financial and professional services centre outside of London, attracting major global businesses from around the world. It is also a major hub for the creative and digital industries and home to some of the UK’s key media organisations.
At Manchester Metropolitan University, we offer a welcoming, stimulating and supportive environment in which to study for your postgraduate qualification. Our award-winning, inspirational campus in the heart of Manchester provides vibrant learning spaces and excellent facilities across modern and historical buildings that reflect our teaching excellence since 1824.
Whether you already participate in sport or would like to try new activities, there are more than 100 sports and activity clubs to get involved with. Many of our teams compete in official leagues against other UK universities and colleges. We also offer a range of free drop-in sports and activities across campus, including women-only sessions. Find out more about sport at Manchester Met.
We have spent £350m creating an outstanding place to study and we have committed a further £400m to continue to develop new facilities, buildings and public spaces. The result is not just a modern campus brimming with the latest industry-standard equipment, but also a collection of buildings designed with the environment in mind. As a result, Manchester Met is one of the top green universities in the UK on the People and Planet University League.
As a Manchester Metropolitan student, you’ll also have access to lifelong careers support from our dedicated Careers and Employability service.
Our experienced careers consultants are ready to offer guidance and information – helping you explore the career paths open to you, develop your employability skills and market yourself to employers effectively. As well as one-to-one appointments and a daily drop-in service, we have My Career Hub – an online system that lets you access resources, book onto events and search through hundreds of job opportunities. And, with a range of careers events on campus throughout the year, we give you the chance to meet with employers actively recruiting.
