Trinity Laban

London  United Kingdom

Trinity Laban is a place where global arts collaborators and creators discover, share and cultivate inspiration. It’s a place where boundaries are moved, connections are forged and futures are made. It’s a one-of-a-kind, world-leading conservatoire that truly redefines excellence. Our musicians work not only with traditional repertoire, but also across a range of genres and cultures, with improvisation and cutting-edge compositions. Our dancers train for work on the stage and also on screen, working across the contemporary tradition, fusing cultural dance styles. Musical Theatre students gain experience in a wide range of material, operating in an ensemble setting while receiving individual support. We strive to create a conservatoire that prepares students for the world as it is now, and the tools to shape the future.

About Trinity Laban

Our vision: Excellence beyond Tradition

At Trinity Laban excellence and tradition are just the start: it is excellence beyond tradition that provides the launchpad for our students to lead the future of their artforms.

We believe that excellence is an attitude you embody in all you do, and our vision is to create a conservatoire where that is possible. To excel is to take risks, make change and lead the transformation of your art forms. We nurture our students and participants with fine craft and expert technique to create new understandings of excellence.

Our values: Leading the arts beyond convention

We believe that the arts has the power to transform society. We are a community of cultural change makers, connecting people and art on our doorstep and around the world. We look for diverse attributes and recruit openly. We give our community the cultural confidence to lead in their art forms with sensitivity and awareness. We are:

  • Student-centric
We prioritise our students’ and participants’ needs, skills and talent. Our students are what shape who we are.
  • Inclusive
We like to go above and beyond, but especially when it comes to equality and inclusivity.
  • Pioneering
We are deliberately different and take risks. We question tradition and nurture individuality.
