The Faculty of Health Science at the University of Southern Denmark addresses key public health and societal challenges through research-based and practice-oriented teaching. SDU educates students in Public Health with a strong focus on prevention, health promotion, epidemiology and health systems, preparing graduates to improve population health at local, national and global levels.

About the Faculty of Health Science

The Faculty of Health Sciences hosts an international academic community that contributes to a dynamic and interdisciplinary learning environment.

The MSc in Public Health Science prepares students to tackle complex health challenges locally, nationally and globally by combining policy analysis with insights from behavioural science, medicine, sociology, epidemiology and statistics. The programme emphasises how to understand and reduce health inequalities, promote effective health behaviours, design and organise preventive interventions, and apply health-economic perspectives to ensure cost-efficient solutions.

International students can specialise in one of the following areas:

Global Health and Equity: focusing on global health disparities and strategies for equitable health outcomes.
Health Economics and Policy: emphasising economic evaluation of health interventions and health policy design.

The Faculty of Health Sciences has its international campus located in Esbjerg, a scenic coastal city in Denmark. All international students are offered guaranteed accommodation when moving to Esbjerg, supporting a smooth transition to student life.

The Faculty of Health Sciences is located at the SDU Esbjerg campus, a modern and welcoming study environment in a coastal city known for its strong student community, affordable housing and close connection to nature.
