About the WebMBA

The WebMBA is an AACSB-accredited, team-based Master’s in Business Administration consortium online program. Seven colleges of business from the University System of Georgia work together to deliver the WebMBA. The consortium includes Augusta University, Columbus State University, Georgia College & State University, Georgia Southern University, Kennesaw State University, University of West Georgia, and Valdosta State University. The WebMBA admits students from anywhere in the world with no out-of-state tuition for Fall and Spring semester starts. As teaming is a core competency of our program, students are placed on teams, create a team contract, and work with their team on group projects throughout the program. Students are required to attend an in-person orientation to meet their teammates; however, students who do not reside in the contiguous United States of America are allowed to attend virtually. Students complete the program in five consecutive semesters. To learn more about the WebMBA, visit here.

Regardless of which university you are admitted through, all WebMBA students take courses and collaborate with peers and faculty from each of our seven partner universities within the WebMBA consortium. Students are placed into five- to six-person teams made up of members from their cohort and remain with that team throughout the program’s five semesters. During orientation, teams develop a Team Contract with guidance from the Teaming Director, using it as a foundation to strengthen collaboration and teamwork skills over time. These teams work together on group projects across courses, mirroring the collaborative environments graduates will encounter in the workplace. Research consistently shows that soft skills—such as teamwork, communication, and collaboration—are among the top skills employers seek.

While students benefit from the collective strength of all seven universities, they also maintain a strong connection to their home institution. Students may attend graduation at the university through which they are admitted and are encouraged to participate in on-campus events and activities hosted by their enrolling university, allowing them to fully engage with both the consortium and their home campus community.

No visits are required for courses. Students living within the Continental U.S. are required to attend a two-day orientation held at the beginning of the program.

The time needed for these online courses usually equals that needed for on-campus MBA program courses. Students report spending about seven to eight hours per week per course. The length of the program semester will vary from 10 to 14 weeks.

All WebMBA business colleges offer accredited MBA programs. Our schools and programs are accredited regionally by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools and professionally by AACSB International - The Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business, which accredits leading business colleges and their programs.

The following are foundational courses for our schools: Accounting, Finance, Statistics, Economics.
The WebMBA offers self-paced, online modules that meet pre-requisite requirements. These modules are facilitated through MBA Math and will save you the time of taking campus courses. While not mandatory, completing or reviewing the material provided in MBA Math is highly encouraged. It is a resource meant to help our students ensure their success, as they can get up to speed or refresh their knowledge on relevant topics prior to starting the program.

Exams take place online, although our faculty may give tests in other ways. Details are stated in each course syllabus.
