About the School of Chemistry

The School of Chemistry at the University of Edinburgh is set on the beautiful King’s Buildings campus, with the new £46M Nucleus building at its heart. You will receive extensive training in practical chemistry, analytical techniques, presentation skills, scientific writing and team working. Together we are developing the next generation of chemistry graduates, who start their own innovative businesses as well as add value to and lead established organisations through a volatile and uncertain world with confidence in their abilities and purpose in their actions. Our 3 x MSc degrees are RSC accredited. The accreditation is granted for student enrolments between 2025-26 and 2029-30, inclusive, for students with a first degree in chemistry or closely related subject.
