After working as a Public Information Officer with the International Labour Organisation in Bangkok, where he led strategic communications and awareness campaigns across Southeast Asia, Worapon’s journey to Imperial started with a simple goal: find a Master of Public Health course where ambition, purpose and real‑world impact could come together.

Mckenna applied to the Master of Public Health programme at Imperial College London because of the course structure, which combines public health concepts, analytical skills, and research opportunities, as well as the university’s reputation and rankings, its considerable international student population, and its location in the heart of London. As with many new experiences, she initially found the transition a little daunting, particularly when adjusting to the learning and teaching styles and balancing coursework with her social and personal life.
