The John and Bryony Coles Bursary is awarded annually by The Prehistoric Society to late undergraduate or early postgraduate Archaeology students in the UK. Students must be registered members of the society to apply.
Funding is intended to be used towards international travel that will help recipients gain a better understanding of prehistoric archaeology – for example by taking part in excavations, surveys or other fieldwork, or any other travel to archaeological sites or work in museums. Funding can also be used towards materials needed to undertake Experimental Archaeology projects.
