Graduate Employability: Top Universities in Germany as Ranked by Employers

Germany is a popular study destination with nine universities in the top 100 in the world according to the Times Higher Education World University Rankings 2023. But will they help you become a graduate who is ready for the real-world job market?

In this blog we look at why graduate employability matters and the top five German universities that are deemed to be the best at preparing students for the workplace (according to recruiters!)

Why is graduate employability important?

Graduate employability is the ability of graduates to find and sustain a job after university. It is an important marker of how well your chosen university will be able to facilitate your goals of finding employment (and with any luck your dream job) after you’ve graduated. A good employability rank is an indication of how well the teaching at the university will equip you with the relevant skills and knowledge that employers most often look for.

Top 5 German universities for graduate employability

Times Higher Education publishes the Global University Employability ranking that lists some of the universities that are the best at preparing their students for the workplace. Here’s a little spotlight on the top five German universities with the highest 2022 graduate employability score.
