The offer for Cornish residents
This offer is for new students enrolling onto a part-time online master’s programme in 2026/27 whose current, permanent residence is in the county of Cornwall.
Applicants must be a resident of Cornwall at the time of application. (See definition of ‘resident of Cornwall’.)
For the purposes of this bursary, “Cornwall” is defined as the geographic area administered by Cornwall Council and the Council of the Isles of Scilly.
Students must enrol onto an online postgraduate master’s degree at Falmouth University; this offer does not extend to any other on-campus or online degrees run by Falmouth University or our partners.
Applicants must be a new postgraduate student at Falmouth University commencing their studies in academic year 2026/2027 which includes starting in September 2026, January 2027 and May 2027.
Applicants must be entering directly into Study Block 1 in the first year of the course.
Applications who defer to the academic year 2027/28 will not currently be considered.
Final decisions on eligibility, including residency status, rest with the University and will be made reasonably and in accordance with these Terms and Conditions.
Exceptional circumstances may be considered at the University’s discretion.
As a commitment to the creative growth and development of our local community, Falmouth University is offering a bursary to Cornish residents equal to 30% of the total tuition fee applicable at the time of enrolment. This bursary can be applied to any online, part-time master’s degree starting in academic year 2026/2027 including September 2026, January 2027 or May 2027.

Allocation and application of bursary
Applicant must notify their Course Advisor that they wish to apply for the Cornish Bursary before enrolment is completed. If you are unsure who your Course Advisor is, please email online.study@falmouth.ac.uk.
Upon application, student must contact their Course Advisors directly to note that they are a resident of Cornwall. They will then be required to go through the verification process (see eligibility).
The bursary will be withdrawn for those students who withdraw from their course mid-year. As such, they will be liable to pay the full rate of fees for the period attended and will be recalculated for the period of study completed in accordance with Falmouth University Fees Policy.
Students who intermit from their course mid-year will continue to qualify for the bursary upon the resumption of their studies. If an intermitting student instead chooses to withdraw from their course, then they will be liable to pay the full rate of fees for the period attended, as per the Falmouth University Fees Policy.
The bursary will be applied to the full cost if paying in full. If you choose to pay your tuition fees in instalments, it will be applied to the final payments due.
