University of Kent

Scholarship details

We are delighted to offer automatic scholarships of £5,000 to applicants who accept their offer to study at the University of Kent, and who are domiciled in Bangladesh, China, Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, Malaysia, Nepal, Nigeria, Pakistan, South Korea, Taiwan, Thailand and Vietnam. Kent Business School applicants are not eligible for this scholarship. Please instead refer to Kent International Scholarship (KBS).

To be eligible for this scholarship, students must have applied for postgraduate taught, full-time programmes.

The scholarship will be applied to the tuition fees.

Applicants must be domiciled in Bangladesh, China, Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, Malaysia, Nepal, Nigeria, Pakistan, South Korea, Taiwan, Thailand or Vietnam.

Applicants who have applied for Kent Business School programmes are not eligible. Please instead refer to Kent International Scholarship (KBS).

This scholarship is for students beginning their degrees in September 2026 only.

Please note that this scholarship is only available to students assessed as self-funded overseas fee payers who are paying fees directly to University of Kent.

Applicants are not eligible for this scholarship who:

have applied for a Masters which includes an integrated pre-Masters
have applied for distance learning programmes
have applied for a PCert or PDip programme
have applied to MA Peace and Conflict Studies (International Joint Award)
are on short-term programmes
are from our partner institution, Epitech, as special partnership arrangements are already in place
This award is not stackable unless the applicant is coming to us through a progression agreement in which case both the Kent International Scholarship and progression discount can be awarded. Should you apply for a higher value scholarship and be successful, then you will receive the higher value award. The Kent International Scholarship will then be retracted.

This award is also open to international students who are normally domiciled in an eligible country, but who are currently resident in the UK for purposes of study.

There is no application process. All eligible applicants who have accepted their offer by the stated deadlines will be contacted with a scholarship offer in due course, which they will need to accept.

If you would like to check your eligibility, or for any general queries regarding this award, please contact international@kent.ac.uk.
