A selection of distance learning courses, as well as 'blended' programs that combine remote and face-to-face study opportunities are available.
World-leading Research
As a university which provides strong support for research activities, there are several subject related specialist resources such as a research vessel, MRI Scanner, climatic chamber, Natural History Museum and Botanic Gardens. The last Research Excellence Framework (REF, 2021) recognised 85% of Bangor’s research as being either world leading or internationally excellent.

Alternatively, flexible payment plans mean you can spread the cost of your qualification over the year.

Much of the social calendar derives from Students’ Union activities with over 150 clubs, societies and volunteering projects. Clubs and Societies are FREE to join at Bangor so you can join as many as you like. There is plenty to do in Bangor with bars, cafes and lots of outdoor activities a stone's throw away for those seeking adventure.

From Welcome Week onwards, you'll be given as much help and support as possible with health and welfare matters as well as your academic work. Each student is given a Personal Tutor at Bangor, an academic member of staff who you can turn to throughout your time at university. Student Services & Administration provides support to students on a range of matters concerned with life as a student.
