Welcome to the FindAMasters and FindAPhD Blog!

Here at FindAMasters and FindAPhD we've been helping prospective students find postgraduate degrees for over ten years. But that's never been all we've done.

Our Masters scholarships and PhD scholarships have been supporting students since 2012. And, each year, our events help thousands of people meet universities, face to face.

But we also know that making the right choice about postgraduate study means understanding the options available to you. That's why our advice sections have always been a big part of the FindAMasters and FindAPhD websites.

And now we're taking that even further with this blog. We'll be publishing more articles, on more topics, than ever before; including, but not limited to, the following:

The postgraduate funding landscape is increasingly fast-moving and varied, with a number of important developments expected over the next 12 months.

Can a landscape actually be fast-moving? We're not sure. But we're happy to throw in a few mixed metaphors alongside the latest postgraduate funding news.

That will include staying up to date with the opening of applications for UK Masters loans in June - as well as the launch of the scheme itself in August (and the plans for PhD loans arriving in 2018)

We'll also be keeping an eye on other parts of the UK, where loans in Northern Ireland are expected in 2017, with plans for Scotland and Wales under consideration.

Of course, it's not all about the UK. We've spent lots of time researching and writing out popular guides to Masters and PhD study abroad (we've even had the chance to visit a few of the countries). And we know how interesting and varied international study can be.

We'll be using the blog to share a little more of what we've learned - including advice on the best value study destinations, those with unique research opportunities and even a few that are just plain interesting.

As part of that we'll stay up to date with international funding news - including new scholarships and the growth of programmes like the Erasmus+ Masters loans.

We know more than anyone how varied postgraduate study can be. As hard as we try with out main advice sections, there isn't such a thing as a one-size-fits-all Masters or PhD.

But now there doesn't need to be. We'll now be looking more closely at different subjects, students and situations - and inviting contributions from experts.

It goes without saying that we think postgraduate students matter - and so does the news that affects them.

Whether it's the landmark policy changes behind the extension of student loans to postgraduates, the possible impact of Brexit on funding and international study, the emergence of new rankings, or the appointment of key ministers and representatives. . . we'll be staying on top of the news that matters to Masters and PhD students.
