FindAUniversity's AI Guidelines

We at FindAUniversity are committed to responsible, ethical use of generative AI that aligns with both our users and our employees.

Our AI Principles

No content produced entirely with AI

We hold our content to a very high standard. To that end, we do not believe AI is appropriate for creating content in its entirety. AI is used to help meet the unique needs of students more quickly, but it is no substitute for our expert editorial team.

Instead, we currently use AI to draw up starting points for a particular topic, rework certain topic segments, and create 'supplementary content' based on existing guides and reliable data sources.

AI driven by humans, not humans driven by AI

AI is capable of creating content very quickly, but there is always a danger of 'AI hallucination'. As such, whenever AI content is written, the factuality of the output is checked by humans before the content is published. In addition, decisions on what is and is not appropriate to include in content remain the responsibility of humans, not AI.

Full disclosure of AI content

In the interest of transparency, any content primarily written with AI will be correctly noted as such.

Personal Data and AI

We do not provide generative AI access to any personal data which we collect. Data provided to AI is not personal in nature, is anonymised before input, or is publically available information.

Who manages FindAUniversity's use of generative AI?

Our Data and Optimisation team is responsible for managing the majority of AI use in the organisation. When initiatives are maintained by other teams, they are expected to continue following these guidelines.
