MSc/MSc Advanced International Business Management and Marketing |
| This is a dual Master's award and involves study at both the University of Groningen and Newcastle University. You will receive a MSc in International Business and Management from the University of Groningen and a MSc in Advanced International Business Management and Marketing from Newcastle University. AIMS The programme is designed for graduates and professionals who aspire to a career in international business management or marketing in the commercial or not for profit sector. It covers the main aspects of business in an international context with a focus on marketing, including brand management, marketing communications management and customer relations management. This innovative programme provides the opportunity to study for a Master’s award at two European universities – Newcastle and Groningen. The programme is taught in English and selected workshops are jointly delivered by academics from both universities. PROGRAMME DESCRIPTION You spend semester one at the Faculty of Economics and Business at the University of Groningen and study the following modules (70 credits): Advanced international business; advanced international management; advanced international economics and business; advanced international financial management; research methodology for international business and marketing. You spend semester two at Newcastle University Business School and study the following modules (60 credits): International marketing; market analysis; international brand management; international marketing communications management; customer relations management; research methods. For the joint dissertation (50 credits) you can be based either at Groningen or Newcastle and undertake a research project on a topic that you have studied during the programme. You receive support and guidance from two supervisors – one from Groningen and one from Newcastle.
